What are your cancellation and refund policies?

We kindly require a 24 hour notice for cancellation for our scheduled classes for a full refund. Personalized events must give at least a 48 hour notice, and due to the personalization are non-refundable. We are happy to reschedule your personalized event at a later date for a credit of the same non-refundable amount. No-shows are non-refundable.


Do I need experience?

NO! Come as you are! We are here to help, give advice and answer any questions you have during the class. Due to the subjective nature of art and crafting, outcomes vary, but all results are beautiful.


Can I do my own thing?

At Make and Take Art Studio, our classes are designed for exploration and creative expression! Treat examples as inspiration, not rules. Use them to learn techniques, then adapt shapes, colors, and details. We encourage you to follow your instincts, experiment with color and texture, and make the project your own.

We are happy to get you some water, however all other drinks can be purchased from The Ugly Mug Diner while you are there. Due to state laws you are not allowed to bring in your own beverages. Must be 21 or older for alcoholic beverages.

We are a pop-up art studio currently operating at The Ugly Mug Diner, 122 Washington Street, Salem, MA 01970. It is a 4 minute walk from the Salem train station - a straight 350 yard walk right down Washington Street. find us a few steps beyond the statue of Samantha from Bewitched.


Is there Parking?

Metered on street parking is available right out front. Spaces fill up fast there, but there are several metered parking lots within a short walk, including Klop Alley, the YMCA, or across from the post office.
